For several months I've been contemplating starting fresh. With a whole new blog that is! In a way, I feel as if Shoes and Jules limits me in what I can write about. I was thinking of something more general. Something fashion, style, and New York City related. On the other hand, I don't want to fall into the same general category as every other fashion/style blogger. I love my shoe clubs and the little niche I found to blog about, but I want to explore other items and experiences. Most of all, I want to share all of these great purchases and experiences with you.
I think this has a lot to do with why I haven't been posting much. I can't figure out if my desired content is Shoes and Jules relative or if I should "re-brand" myself and start something new. Over the past few months I've come up with so many ideas. I've drafted tons of posts. Took hundreds of pictures. Learned so much. So why is it so hard for me to be productive and do what it is that I want to do? That is to write, to blog, to share my purchases, thoughts, and ideas with all of you, and to get all kinds of feedback.
What's in a name anyway? Look at the titles of books - yes, it relates to what the story is about, but sometimes it's just a tiny piece of the whole picture. Can the shoes in Shoes and Jules be the tiny piece that puts together the entire picture of Jules?
Your feedback is exactly what I need right now. Is it wrong of me to I cancel my plans to start fresh, and instead, turn Shoes and Jules into more than just shoes? Or should I go with my initial plans and brainstorm for a better name? What do you think? Does the name of my blog really matter?
