Shoedazzle Groupon for $19 - Available Through 8/1 at Midnight!

See below for instructions for purchasing and using this Groupon

images via Groupon

This Shoedazzle Groupon can also be used towards the purchase of shoes from the current BOGO event. Just in case you are behind the times and don't know what BOGO means - it stands for buy one get one.. free that is! Meaning, if you purchase this Groupon deal you can actually get each pair for just $9.50 if you select from the items offered in the event. Talk about a deal, right?

Most of you know that Shoedazzle isn't one of my favorite places to buy from, but for $19 and $9.50 you really can't go wrong. Besides the prices, another plus is that they offer free shipping as well as free exchanges.

On top of heels, flats, jewelry, and handbags, Shoedazzle also has a casual line that includes a bunch of adorable Converse sneakers (as well as other sneakers). I recently purchased two pairs of Converse from SD and will be doing a review on them soon. Most of the Converse are offered in the BOGO event. Shoedazzle also has a Dazzle Deal every Tuesday and Thursday featuring items such as flat irons, luggage, clothing, and many other items - all for just $39.95.

Instructions for purchasing and using your Groupon:
  • Purchase Your Groupon
Head over to Groupon (if you aren't yet a member you can sign up here) and purchase the SD Groupon for just $19. You will be provided with a code to use on Shoedazzle's website.
  • Sign Up for Shoedazzle
You must be a new member of Shoedazzle. If you sign up using my link you will receive 20% off your first purchase (the Groupon doesn't count as a purchase from SD, so the 20% will technically go towards your second order).
You are required to take a short quiz to determine your "style profile".
  • Browse and Find Items
Within 24hrs Shoedazzle will provide you with a showroom filled with items they think you will be interested in. If you don't want to wait for your showroom you can find an item you like a few different ways.
    1) Connecting your Facebook account to your Shoedazzle account. You will be able to view showrooms of any Facebook friends that are SD members.
    2) Look through the fan photos on Facebook - there are thousands of real pictures to browse through.
    3) If you know the name of an item you can use a direct link >> Remove the words "Insert Shoe Name" and replace it with the name of the item.
  • Check Out and Apply your Groupon CodeAdd the item you want to purchase to your cart and checkout as you normally would. There will be an option to "apply gift code". Enter the code you received from Groupon in the box and apply it. On the same screen there will be a drop down box where you can select credits to apply. Select one credit and apply. Once you do that it will adjust to $0 and you can place your order.
    * A few ladies, including myself, received error messages when applying gift codes. If this happens to you, simply click the drop down menu where it says to apply credits. The credit will actually be in there and available to apply.
If you have any questions feel free to comment or e-mail me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I created a new page on this blog dedicated strictly to sales and deals. I plan on posting most of the deals I share on the new page, but people have been waiting for this one so I wanted to dedicate a post to it to ensure that it didn't get missed. So be sure to check out the new page and check back often. I just added some new sales and deals such as a Send the Trend Groupon and some others.

Good Times!

I'm not feeling so well and I can't sleep, which is why I am up at 4:30am on Youtube watching videos from some of the channels I subscribe to.

I just watched a video from JustFab's Style Night event last month. Check it out! You can catch a quick glimpse of Lisa and I at 0:34.

To read more about style night check out my original posts here, here, here, and here.

Makeeda from JustFabulous

A few weeks ago JustFabulous surprised us by releasing a "shoe of the month". They were definitely right on target with this month's selection:  Makeeda is an affordable version of Christian Louboutin's Clou Noeud shoe. This CL shoe is particularly a favorite of mine and is at the top of my "If I Were Rich" wishlist!

I am really excited about these shoes. So excited, that although I am behind on my blogging (sorry!) and have a bunch of other shoes in line for pictures and blog posts, I decided to give Makeeda her much deserved VIP treatment and post about her first!

Sadly, I had to wait a little bit longer than usual to enjoy my new shoes. This is because I originally ordered my regular size and my toes were at the very edge (Which, I'm sure you are aware, is a definite no-no when wearing open toe or peep toe shoes).

Makeeda in my regular size (showing my toes just a touch over the edge)
I exchanged both pairs for a half size up and that worked out well for me. I was afraid going up in size would cause the slingback strap to be loose, but it wasn't. The half size up fits perfectly!

Next weekend is my birthday and I have planned my outfit around the blush pair. They are my favorite because they are the perfect mix of girly and edgy. For the time being we will focus on those, but be sure to check back for additional pictures of the black ones.

The pictures on the left, where the shoes appear to be almost white, were taken with the flash. The pictures on the right were taken without the flash to give you a better idea of the true color of these shoes.

Makeeda has a 5" heel and a 1" platform. For those of you who don't wear such high heels - do not let the 5" discourage you from ordering these. They really are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in.

What do you think of Makeeda? I can definitely say that I am in love with these shoes! I am hoping that all future shoes of the month are as special as this one.

If you are interested in these shoes (or any other JF shoes you see on my blog) and are not yet a member of JustFabulous you can sign up here. There is no commitment to make a purchase simply by signing up. If you plan on purchasing from JF and you have not yet read my post about how shoe clubs work, I suggest doing so before heading to their site.

The Look for Less: Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Slingbacks

Christian Louboutin's Lady Peep Slingback Pump in "Jade" is such a fun, seasonal shoe. They are perfect for this season's color blocking trend. If I had $895 to spend on shoes I would definitely have these in my closet.

Neiman Marcus $895

JustFabulous has done it again! Get the CL Lady Peep look for just $39.95 with JF's Jacoba.
JustFabulous $39.95

Jacoba comes in two colors: turquoise/yellow/white or black/red/white. My favorite are the turquoise for obvious reasons.

It Takes Time to Adjust - Employee Incentive Program Update

Last week I was on time for work every day, which means I receive a $50 credit through my job's incentive program towards the purchase of anything I want!

I must say that it has been a rough couple of weeks! For the most part I arrived on time, but it was extremely hard to do this for a full week. I would end up arriving at 8:03am on a single day out of the week and lose out on my credit. It seems as if I leave my house earlier every day, but arrive at the same time. The thing is, there has been serious traffic issues on almost every highway and bridge. Although I have several different routes to take, I always wind up taking the one that has the most traffic.

Needless to say, my huge improvements have showed me that it takes time to adjust... and I think I will have a lot more credits coming my way! :)

Anyway, I need some help with deciding what to get. I've had my eye on DV by Dolce Vita's Maree Flat for months now. I want both colors, but I will have to settle for just one. Which color would you choose? DV by Dolce Vita Women's Maree Ballet Flat: Shoes DV by Dolce Vita Women's Maree Ballet Flat: Shoes
DV by Dolce Vita Maree Flat - Amazon $49.99
* I also know where to get these for $39.99 with free shipping (I've already shared this site with some of you), but I went to make sure all goes smoothly with my order before I post about this retailer.

Another item I've been eyeing for a while is the Yulia bag from Sole Society. The bag is sold out in two colors, but fortunately I am interested in the yellow and lavender which are both still available. Again I can't decide between color - which would you get?

Yulia Bag - Sole Society $69.95

I have a $59.95 credit at Sole Society, so technically I can have my bosses purchase the flats and then add the leftover $10 to my Sole Society order to get both of these items without $1 coming out of my pocket.

I also really love the LC by Lauren Conrad dress below. Unfortunately, I waited too long and my size is no longer available, but I did find a few other items from her line at Kohl's that I love!

LC by Lauren Conrad Floral Chiffon Dress - Kohl's $42.00
I really want to get an iPad through this program. However, the first few credits I receive I'd like to get shoes, clothes, and accessories with. Since I have really been struggling with money the past few months and I need stuff I thought it was a good idea to take advantage of getting some items that I want and need. I figured it will get easier for me to get in on time the longer I adjust (therefore more credits). On top of that, I can use the iPad as some serious motivation to get to work on time every day

What would you get it you could only spend $50? Should I get the flats, a bag, or some clothes from LC's line? Or should I start "banking up" my credits for larger priced items now?
