Friday was a great day... just before lunch I received a package from Just Fabulous. As soon as I opened my grey Malone pumps from the W-3 Collection I knew I loved them. This shoe also comes in beige but it sold out extremely quickly in most sizes (Right now it only shows beige available in size 10 and the grey available in almost every size) . The material is one that I've never before come across on a shoe. It is a buttery soft kind of unexplainable material - similar to a silicone phone case, but different. I like it a lot!
I wasn't sure how they were going to fit because the sizing reviews were mixed (some said true to size, others said to go a half size down, and some even said to go a full size down) but I decided to follow the majority and go a half size down. When I put them on they seemed just a little snug, but I had a feeling that once they were broken in they would fit perfect. I planned on wearing them over the weekend so I decided to keep them on and start breaking them in by wearing them to lunch and also for the rest of the work day.
I wore them for 5 hours on Friday and to be quite honest because they were a little tight like I mentioned, I thought my feet were going to be killing me by the end of the day...but they weren't. I'm not going to lie to you and say they didn't hurt at all because they did - any tight shoe will do that to you. But I must say, I wore them a little over 8 hours on Saturday and sure enough my feet didn't hurt one bit. I broke them in just right. I'm happy that I decided to keep them and not exchange for my regular size because they would have probably been too big. My advice to anyone planning on ordering Malone is this: If you never have a problem with the toe box being tight on any shoe then order a half size down. After breaking them in if they are still too tight you always have the ice trick (which I swear by!) as a backup plan. If you are in between sizes or notice that you often order your regular size in closed toe shoes and they are tight in the toe box then order your regular size.
Another great pair of Just Fabulous shoes added to my shoe closet! I also have Trixy in white and Elise in yellow on their way. I still have another shoe or two in mind, but I'm trying to hold off for atleast a week. which usually doesn't work but I will sure try! ;)
